How are the jockeys priced?
All jockeys are priced according to your design wishes. Custom logos for your team, club or business can be applied to the front or back. Family or farm names can be added to the base. A deposit of 50% of the quote is required to start work. Balance due upon completion.
I occasionally have ready-made classic colors of blue, red, green or black in the studio available for immediate purchase. They have black boots and white breeches. Please inquire!
What type of jockeys do you paint?
Aluminum jockeys that are 43″ tall and weight 45 lbs. with a ring for a lantern.
Can you ship or deliver my jockey?
Local to Aiken delivery can be arranged for both concrete and aluminum jockeys. Because of weight of the concrete style, we cannot ship them. Only aluminum can be shipped nationwide.
Are the jockeys weatherproof?
Jockeys are sealed with a UV/weather resistant gloss once the painting has been completed. However, the concrete jocks may need repainting or touch ups after several years in the sun and outdoor exposure.
Who makes my jockey?
All jockeys are designed, prepped and hand-painted to completion by artist Lucia Bradham Millwood in her Aiken, South Carolina studio. Lucia takes great pride in making each jockey a unique heirloom investment for the client.
Why are they called Cavaliers or Lawn Jockeys?
The molds that Lucia paints are called “Cavalier Spirit”. They are a more modern and whimsical equestrian style statue. Most people know them as Lawn Jockeys, which have more of a history.
Do you paint other statuary?
Yes! I can get a wide variety of molded statues to paint through my direct sources. Let me know what you are looking for. I have everything available including snooty foxes, realistic foxes and many others.
